We focus on battery materials coating and development with ALD, catering to a wide range of markets. Post-COVID, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battery Coating Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
As a Battery Coating Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and overseeing the ALD coating, winding, and assembly processes to ensure the production of high-quality batteries. Your expertise in coating battery materials with NCM 523, NCM 662, NCM 881, and other chemical materials will be instrumental in driving our innovation and product excellence.
ALD Coating Process:
Operate and maintain ALD equipment to coat battery materials with NCM 523, NCM 662, NCM 881, and other chemical materials.
Develop and optimize ALD coating processes to achieve desired material properties and performance.
Conduct experimental design and data analysis to improve coating quality and consistency.
Battery Assembly:
Oversee and participate in the battery assembly process, including electrode preparation, cell assembly, and electrolyte filling.
Ensure proper winding and assembly techniques are employed to maintain high-quality standards.
Process Development:
Collaborate with the R&D team to develop new coating formulations and processes.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product performance.
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain quality control protocols to ensure coated materials and assembled batteries meet specifications.
Perform routine inspections and tests to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals.
Document and report project progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and training to team members on ALD coating and battery assembly processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to coating equipment and battery production.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to achieve project objectives.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in ALD coating technology, specifically with battery materials such as NCM 523, NCM 662, NCM 881.
Strong knowledge of battery assembly processes and techniques.
Experience with PVD coating technology is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
